Oxymoron Poetry Contest

~ PLACED FIRST~

Oxymoron- Silent Scream

quick as a molten drop of wax running down a dying candle, a single drop of salty tear left her sunken eyes' boundary making its way downwards and fell without a sound, crashing in bits, like pulverized shards of glassware. no one heard her soul's silent scream!

Deep internal sorrow and the sensation of inward suffering are central to your superb poetry, dear Valsa. In contrast to melted wax and broken glass, the imagery of a tear falling is used to express weakness and the malicious spirit of sadness.
