'ownership'

A flicker of hope 
starting the flame of life again...

Dangling on weathered ropes 
where a sudden rush of wind 
can send you to the ground
clinging to the promise 
you never heard but somehow knew existed

they always knew you would be stronger than this - 
they waited for you to step out and just believe

to see your true potential with your own eyes
and take ownership thereof --
