Owme!

Lick lick lick, long lick, lick lick... there she sits on my window sill, neatening fur from her feet to her tail. And here I spy my little cat's eye, narrowing my focus on her. I hear the purr.ing....as she sits sunny in the sill. I think to myself... the other day when I write my rhyme, upon my toe you came with chimes, to break my scribbling stride. MEOW in a loud voice you cried. Give me kibbles your whiskers pry between my ankles. Then I smiled. And now upon this greatly fine hour, revenge I'll have and you'll be sour, as I make my strides to you. I'm gonna pick you up and cuddle you too. It'll cause a mess, I must confess but I'm the 'mom' and you're too cute. Plus I owe you... some love. plus you OWME! too. ;) a new poem. ~and that's communication~ ~in it's best form~ At my house anyway lol!!

Cute write here which is the Free Verse form ... need to put something in in the "Form" section as part of posting a write. Just back space up and you'll get past the "I Don't Know" which usually keeps folks out of contests but who knows anymore maybe it doesn't make any difference now. So, scratch this but anyway ... the different forms are interesting and I don't know how to do half of those listed under "Forms of Poetry" in the left hand column ...

Hi Izzy I gotta love this, smile. I have two cats so I know what you mean. Their purr is music to my ears and when they get all dreamy eyes with pets my heart sings with joy. This poem will touch all the cat lovers here! Truly enjoyed. Happy Memorial Day hun. Love Light Truth Patricia

aww well written Izzy, cats just know when you are bussy they just babies LOL, we have 2 hamsters and they funny but cute they slep all day and run riot in the cage at night we always hear them running on the wheel and climbing around LOL, God bless you from diane

Izzy, I also have a cat that loves to chase the bees when they land on the flowers, it's fun to watch but I don't know how it can do it every time, nice work...Raul
