excellent haiku Constance, I love owls they are such gorgeous birds, I've not seen one in the wild for many years, we had a family of 5 in the tree when I was growing up:-) hugs jan xx

You describe an owl perfectly and beautifully. We had a forty year old tree that my father had planted after Christmas which grew and grew and grew - it became a landmark in our suburb and we heard an owl so often in the tree but could never see him/her! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
