Owls Looking Into the Dark

Owls Looking Into The Dark

Sleepy Dreams - owls looking into the dark
sights imagined but can never touch
Glory and truth both, so brutally stark
images of great future Hope and such
Dances flowing in thoughts this mind relays
blood drying on a loose, tumbling rock
Desires the sad Soul fears and betrays
ship calmly resting at a favorite dock

Night gifts such sweet, brilliant views
A life wearing her gift of golden shoes!

Good verse, and gets better with each reading. And that last line sets it off beautifully with a 'ping!'. Regards, Viv
