Owls and Insects

Giant owls
Flying over streets
Giant fowls
Feathers falling like sheets

Back on the ground
We ride on insects
They make not a sound
Keeping us safe from the flying objects

A wonderfully surreal little poem: the neat rhyming couplets and brisk four-line stanzas give its giant owls, falling feathers, and silent insect steeds a playful dream-logic. The shift from airborne menace to safe ground transport is especially imaginative.
