Of the cold night, am I, Observing with each eye. Overhead, I explore. Ominously, I soar Over the forest floor. Oops, what nixed Mousie's life? Only my talon's knife.

Congrats, David! You had fun with this one…we soar along with the owl as he prepares his talon for dinner.

Be careful. I hooted at an owl a few night's ago. He thought I was disparaging him. He hooted back louder and was on his toes ready to attack. His cohort, a female owl, was very impressed. Animal poems are a favorite, and I love this one called "OWL".

Get a cat and you'll see an owl. I keep my cat inside at night. Cats are an owl delicacy. I'd prefer they'd stick to mice.

That's pretty cool, Hilda. Believe it or not, I can't remember ever seeing an owl - too much of a city boy my whole life.

The only question left is: did it taste like chicken?
