I never thought it'd hurt this much
It's hard to let you go
The last time wasn't too far when
You said to me, you know?
This happened almost overnight
Or so to me it seems
But it wasn't too far in the past when
We spoke of hopes and dreams
Is it really possible?
Are you really gone?
If time reveals it to be so
I guess I'll mosey on
Maybe not tomorrow,
Just when, I don't know yet
I'll pack up all the things I own
And follow the sunset
