Ovr U

Time healed me. Time erased you
When you left - I was walking the diving board to the deep end.
When you knew I couldn't swim.
These days my heart actually pumps, powerfully. As I paddle my own way through the waves of life.
When you left I found my glow.
Got the lead role in my own damn show now and your cut from the scene.
I do back flips in the spot where you used to lay. I light my candles and hum sweet notes
Replacing my whisky worries.
I don't hate you. It's better this way.
You being there- as time drys my tears.
