overwhelming love

your mission on Earth is to love. with passion. with ardor
to burn yourself with so much love. to blind the world with your pyre
to set fire to the stone of the lost, lost, abandoned soul
to restore hope.

and I entered the world naked, shaken by crying, without air, without purpose
and it was cold, and it was gray and the sun of love appeared from time to time
flashing the tired skies, devoid of hope, of the future
a sky abandoned to the clouds

on my elbows and knees I crawled, I gave millions of smiles
knowing that little can grow into more, an avalanche of love
and when I could walk freely, and I spoke, I opened new horizons of loving words
and love flowed... and flowed... without restraint

Lord, give me all the words to clothe them in love
help me gather all the suffering in the world to give it wings of a shy smile
and throw me off the highest mountain to drown the world in love
to be a flood of love
