Deep are the questions, like quicksand sinking Seeping into a restless mind pressing Weeping with release, yet overthinking Sleep comes uneasy with dreams distressing Heaps of concepts lead to faulty linking Steeping upon words without expression Sheep are miscounted with rapid blinking Leaping to conclude a wrong impression 12-10-2020

Thanks, Sara. I don't tend to dwell on "what if's" anymore. This one just sort of came through the rhyme scheme, but the mind can definitely get things stirred up if that's the focus. Blessings.

I'd tried it for a contest a while back, but got stumped and set it aside until now.
