Over the Moon
Sometimes, when I speak to you
my true feelings I shyly hide,
to put them in a secret room
and keep them tucked inside.
Opening my heart takes time
it's a spot reserved for very few,
but, in it there's an empty place
that's perfect for me and you.
Your words allow me to dream
they send me right over the moon,
and I am drifting amongst the stars
even when it's mid-afternoon.
Your words charm like warm wind
they float to me like a tune,
my spirit is freed once again
and I'm sent right over the moon.
Never stop wishing on that star
though our future may seem bleak,
keep writing from your heart
and eventually mine will speak.
