Over the Blue Horizon

With hungriest eyes I scan the distant skyline. Searching for love at all compass points. In the crimson tumble of sunset your face smiles imposed on velvet clouds. Distance impales my heart on javelin lasers. Biting back the sting of tears I pray beyond the cruel vault of land and sea; over the blue horizon we will be together forever some day.
