Ink stained papers scattered at his feet As upon his muse he will draw His words are for a girl he thinks so sweet As his dog offers a helping paw His labor of love requires words sublime With true feelings coming from his heart A poem, with beautiful rhymes He soon finds the words to impart: "You are my moon my stars, My sunshine in the falling rain Whether you are near or far You I adore my dearest Lorraine" His emotions had risen to the brim Love had brought out the poet in him 10-4-19 Realism Art Contest Sponsor: Eve Roper Picture Number 2.

Truly majestic poetry my friend. Yes, I can see the concentration on the boy's face as he searches for just the right word. You nailed it with this one, must surely be a podium winner methinks.. A fav- a true gem too.

This is so cute Joseph, strange how we all have a story as to when and how we started writing poetry - I believe in every 200 people you will always find a couple of poets, some of whom have their poems unfortunately stacked in a cupboard with dust and cobwebs all over them - everybody needs that little push to discover themselves! Great write, Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

Wow ! Joseph, This an excellent interpretation of the photo. It was though you became that little boy and you knew his thoughts. Well done. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. PS, I chose the same photo. Enjoy the rest of your day weekend:-) Alexis
