Outside My Window

Round and round she goes
Eyes flashing, Nose twitching, Tail wagging,
 Searching... Searching... Searching...

 Passing quickly over the grass
Jumping for the corn and seeds, STOP!!
  Racing... Racing... Racing...

Running to the safety of your tree
     Standing silent on the lawn
   Sniffing... Sniffing... Sniffing...

Taking the high wire over the road
Seeking the acorn on the ground, Hide it.
    Hurry... Hurry... Hurry...

Your poem is very frisky and creative. I enjoyed it. I was thinking dog, but Mark's question about a squirrel makes sense. Great write, Dan ... CayCay

I'm only guessing because we don't have them here but are you referring to a squirrel? Nonetheless this made me smile with the imagery.

Dan & CayCay no we don't have squirrels in New Zealand, in fact we don't have any native land mammals just introduced ones. So no not in the Arctic lol but I would love to go there one day!

Yes, this is a squirrel. I had to rename the poem because of the contest rules. Thanks for the read. NO Squirrels...you're not in the Arctic, are you?

I'm straight tripping, you have no squirrels? I never knew that ... CayCay
