Out-Of-State Plates

I check the license plates of cars
Parked all around my block,
Which proves that to New York
So many people still do flock.

Here’s Arizona, Massachusetts,
California, too.
Of course, there’s Pennsylvania
And New Jersey, passing through.

Surprisingly, there’s Kansas,
Also Carolina (North).
I wonder why these people
From their native states set forth.

It’s hard to find a parking place
(For on the street, it’s free),
Especially when out-of-towners
Grab a spot from me!

Maurice Rigoler August 10, 2021 at 8:06 AM Dear Ilene, I don't envy you living in New York city or near that bustling madness. I'm as rural as wild flowers and like it that way. I can't imagine driving in the city at rush hour! Good for business, of course, but a nightmare on the nerves! / Maurice

Jan Allison August 5, 2021 at 3:02 PM Despite covid people are still travelling and we are seeing SO many British plates over here, its no wonder we have such a bad spread of covid but we have to live with it now, cant see mum for another week i knew the 10 days isolation would be extended, we are going backwards not forwards AND we are on the USA red list now!-( hugs Jan xx
