Outlined, At Twilight

Against sheer lace that filters in,
pink halos traced with white, 
she leans against the window's frame,
enveloped by the light

The pregnant pause, as twilight crowns
accentuates her form.
The beauty of her shape is drowned,
in mother-love transformed
