Outlast
Running in circles I am
Nothing ever lasts
Seasons change then times pass
Dreams smothered in overwhelming emotion
Feels like someone is losing devotion
Running in circles I am
World turned upside down compared to mankind's notions
See as the returning withers the oceans
Shredded by thorns
The feeling to it is numb
Yes I know im bleeding
I'm not dumb
A rose strangled in the struggle
It's outcome wraps the beauty into a mud puddle
Oh how the silence grows subtle
Hating the burden that's mine to bear
Sometimes I wish I wasn't there
Caught in a trap
A damned snare
Yet I pretend its marks it left were never there
Just something else to pull out my hair
Seasons changed and time elapsed
Still are many prayers that haven't yet been answered
Or yet even asked
No doubt in its occurrence but the wait is whats hurting
Just have to remind myself its not a race
And I don't have to move fast
I am outlast
