Out of Water

A fish out of water,
A long way from home,
A long way from English,
A long way from everything she's ever known.

Alone,
She doesn't speak the language,
Has no friends,
A fish out of water.

Bright blue eyes,
Light blonde hair,
Different,
A fish out of water.

I meant it all quite literally. I'm currently doing a study abroad in Japan and it's certainly not a cake walk. Glad you enjoyed it and could find personal meaning in it! I guess I should know that that is what poetry is all about by now, right? X)
