Out of Our Reach

Dreams come and go swiftly
Scattering themselves into separate compartments
Hiding their truths for the dreamer

Deciphered by no psychologist or psychiatrist
For by the time we see one, we have closed them off
Camouflaged their significance, if we knew what it was

Sometimes we are flying in our dreams.
Out of body, our souls free, as if we are in heaven.
It is when we come back to fast that we crash land.

Waking with a loud gasp as our soul
Hits our chest, heart pounding in fear
Eyes flutter open briefly

Dream laughs
Reenters the cosmos
Out of our reach

Thank you Sandra. Dream work is a fantastic study! I highly recommend it! NEAs are truly a blast to study also!
