Out of Darkness

Took awhile but I’m back, guess I couldn’t stay away,
Too many thoughts upon the racks, knew I’d be back to them someday.

I changed my life, it’s for the better, man I needed something new,
I needed something that could justify the crazy **** that I’ve been through.

I found a savior and an angel, I found a spark within the darkness,
I found a kindred soul there waiting who could trigger this catharsis.

Although at times I still relapse into an insecure depression,
Her light is there to find me and relieve me of repression.

For this I vow to keep her safe and dry from any rain,
And always I will help her through, or share in all her pain.

I’ll be there for her always because to her I am in debt,
And I’ll be there by her side to save her from regret.

Now she will be my light when I can only see a glimpse
Because it took me long enough to find her and I’ve loved her ever since.
