I wrote this one awhile in regard to certain crimes going on in the news. I feel as time goes on, this gets more truthful.
Savage beatings
Not within reason
Rioting police lines
Violence is in season
A city gets divided
Teens called this time
A purge filled with crime
Words by a mayor
Incited Civil unrest
Mass panic attacks
While patience is put
To the ultimate test
Encroachments at its best
Why are we waiting
When even the mayor
Wont stop complaining
National guard called
A state of emergency
An entire city is walled
Are all among the headlines
I can remember when
People used to morn
Whenever someone had died
Where are we going
What are we doing
Such ignorance and
disobedience ensuing
America is losing
This is what happens
When misunderstanding
And lack of knowledge
Meets deliberate provocation
Chaos like thunder
Tearing asunder
Most people in wonder
The others are running
It's Bad timing
And Who's lying
Everyones wrong
When people are dying
Children are crying
Parents subsided
If we can't stand together
Then why bother trying.
