Our Tainted Leadership
We have come to believe in the lies we have been sold
Within the ramblings of untold truths, never to be told
Becoming weathered, unsure of the truth we hold so dear
Keeping us all locked in a world of insurmountable fear
A society lost in the grip of an unknown adversary
Is this our only exception to their untrue commentary
Gripping confusion consuming all of the population
Shall we really believe in this hypocritical organization
Perhaps this is the time, for all of us to take a stand
To continue to question the things we don’t understand
For you and I to say, we have had enough of these lies
And make those accountable, to whatever it implies
Leaders are placed in power for the betterment of us all
To empower the people towards a better life, to stand tall
Not just for themselves, specific groups and a special few
Or for those individuals that agree with their point of view
We have lost the concept that these leaders work for us all
That their incompetence maybe all our lifestyle’s downfall
And that they should be held accountable at every level
These leaders should be trustworthy and not the devil
