Our Roof Balcony

Away from the city On a small street, in the hub of life Sits a house complete with a roof balcony Built on stones and memories Overlooking the city at night Alive and full of life The streetlights below reflecting moonlight Never too bright, always just right Made for sharing laughs, playing cricket, and water fights Where we relax and have fun Carefree, lying in the sun A place to be ourselves To let tears flow free Wrapped in the warmth of the sunlight And washed clean in the night Our balcony, a speck in the city So much more than just a slab of stone The one and only in the world Our roof balcony A place of our own

Yes! Away from the smoke, the drunks, the noise, the drive-by shootings. We had a walk-by shooting on our block the other day - no one killed, just scared silly. Our next door neighbor is moving out, going to try and find a wonderful "roof balcony." Congrats on the selection. daver
