Our Mother

Spinning
this azure coloured ball into the black velvet cosmos
rotating around the celestial star of the sun
she is warmed and comforted
held in the fond embrace
of the heavens that be

Gaia lives and breaths
her lungs spurt for in forms of stately trees that
grace the landscape in form devine as
rivers flow
one rock over another
until a serene pool is garnered at the end of the journey

Behold Earth! Our magnificent mother
who is always loving and nurturing
and is there for us
whenever we quake by the fright of our own shadows
we citizens
are truly blessed
and truly need to love our mother back
as much as she loves us.
