Our Moment
We’re living life, a breath at a time,
Not really seeing, or listening
Ne’er, in our moment, our minds jumping ahead
Unaware of all around us, we’ve miss it instead
No Milky-way, no Aurora Borealis, no evening stars
No firefly glows, to delight us
No moonbeams, to guide our way
Take a breath
Our moment we’re in, is all that we’ve got
Presence, in our moment, required
To see the Sunkist flowers, clouds, rain, and the sun
All there, if we stay in our moment, to see and feel
Our moment, once alive, now gone, unable to be relived
Alas! Look what we have lost
Take a breath
Fore, if not there, in our moment, we’ve let it slip by
That moment, that breath, that keeps us alive
Gone forever, with no Sunkist flowers smelled, no rain on our faces
No Sunkist trees, with sunlit glows, no sunrise; no sunset
No sweet fragrances of nature
Take a breath
Our moment, one, leading to another and another
Are we to ignore what we’ve learned, from the loss of the last?
If not, our precious moment, becomes elusive and goes away
Our moment, given to us; ours to take
Take a breath
Be in each moment wherever we are
Looking forward to the next, keeps us happy and true
Be in our moments; build memories old and new
Preserve our minds and souls
Take a breath; another moment has come
