Our Moment

Visions of a sweet 
champagne colored moonlight 
shines upon broken promises
A soulful presence 
echoes in the back corners 
of my mind
Left to wonder if expectations
influenced my reality
Remembering how you held me
like a conversation igniting 
magic from your touch 
Infusing its uncontrollable 
spell into the moment
And unlike my reality.....
that's all it was...
just a moment in time
One soon to be discarded like 
wisps of smoke excited 
to leave your thoughts
Our moment 
too soon passed
