Our Little Michael/Your Michael Jackson
Our Little Michael/Your Michael Jackson
Our little Michael
Begin his life in our homes
He danced in our living rooms
Like James Brown
He was raised in every small
Town in black America
He and his brothers were the
First black family band
Like the White Osmond’s
To make it big
In the record business with
Arithmetic and alphabet
Songs
Like
Sugar and pop
Syrupy breakfast cereal
The girls fell in love with him
Our little Michael
Was the heart of
Every little black girls
Dream comes true
And Even if
The boys would get
Jealous
But
He was our little Michael
Like a little brother
We watched as he grew up
On TV
And left our families
As all children must
Our little Michael
Moved from every little black town
To LA LA Land and embarked on a
Solo career
He worked with men like
Mr Jones who took little Michael
Into a new direction and he became
Your Michael Jackson
A black world wide phenom
Everybody loved Michael Jackson
Over time
His behavior was
Not understand by his family
As his popularity grew
More and more demands were made on him
As his popularity grew
More and more he distanced himself from his family
As his popularity grew
More and more he was like a homeless man
But with riches and fame
He became more and more like you
Only God knows
If his soul was tortured or if
He was a troubled man
But let us pray that our
Little Michael has made peace
With himself and it is well with his/our soul
