Our Little Haven

When I was just a little girl With mind as always, in a whirl Me and my cousin, we would roam Far, far away from my sweet home We'd make our way to some rocks we knew All covered by green moss, we two Oh it was such a magic place And left huge smiles upon my face To us it was a fairyland With imagination vast and grand We both saw fairies, little elves too Dancing daintily as they do When that time came, we had to leave Both our little hearts would grieve We'd leave that haven, her and me Our minds brim filled with memories So we went back to normalcy And though it made us both unhappy We knew that soon we'd go back there And see those we folk everywhere

Hi again dear lady this brings back memories of my childhood, we had a boating yacht club near us, and a place we called the island. It was a wild preserve area. So my three friends and I would go their and pretend also just like you and your childhood friend. I love your imagery you and Peter have this in common at least in this write, the memory of enchantment is wonderful here in your work. A tale of a wonderland!!! Love it... We had one as well only, it was filed with monsters and dark evil warlords for us boys to slay. Just over the big hills in the deep woods behind our farmhouse.. BBBravo my friend, a fine magical write !!!

Thank you so much Robert, it was a great childhood game so magical, my brothers were like you, they were cowboys and Indians, used to make their own rifles out of wood and use the dog for buffalo's Regards to your wife..................Vera..............

Vincent thank you ever so much, I will never be as good as Peter but he has been at it for as long as I can remember, you would not believe how many he has written, in fact we have a chest of draws filled with them, what will happen to them when we have departed this earth I will never know, anyway thanks for the lovely comment........Take care............Vera..........

Ah Lucilla my friend, thank you so much my dear for reading this little poem which bought back memories to me, I was only about 6 or 7 years old and it was a wonderful time in my life, our childhood years are so precious, so it is great to remember them, I had a great childhood so I was very lucky.
