Our Last Kiss

My last kiss was given on the forehead. I gave well wishes for the journey ahead And tears welled up in my eyes. I knew it was goodbye There'd be no emails No letters No phone calls. And confusion, love, and blessings were exchanged. We hugged. I walked away, and prayed for happiness, for relief He deserved his blessings and though it hurt, His happiness mattered more. It was my birthday wish. My goodbye kiss To my brother. The end of one journey begat another Safe travels, rest in peace.
