Our Human Challenge

It's simple for one to recognise the deep seeded ignorant animosities, Entrenched firmly in the social consciousness. Rooting out the troubling distubances nearly seems impossible. One may list the points of disagreements, and we may all, acknowledge the challenges ; but the most disturbing of all, is that there is no immediate resolution. How is it, that written by the framers of our Constitution, those words, " All men are created equal..." are only hollow words in a society which for countless generations, have had to live with the fact of inequality and injustice ? Eventho this is an "in your face" American challenge, this phenomenon of the "us versus them" is a systemic problem throughout OUR human history. So, eventho it is true, All men are created equal, what is also equally true, not All men are treated equally.... Our dilemma is not just the fight for equality, Our true challenge, is too, one by one, Remove from our own mindset Those animosities which continue to barricade us Instead of unifying us, from our true human destiny. Once the true human family Can live together in civil accord, Then and only then, Will this world truly become a better place.... Until then, The growing pains continue.
