Our Furbabies Passing
It hurts when you lose them,
It hurts when they're gone.
When they've been right beside you,
A best friend for so long.
It doesn't seem fair,
It doesn't seem right
That their lives are so short
Before losing their fight.
No soft ears to pet,
No loving eyes to see,
Their passing causes such grief
For you and for me.
They steal our hearts.
They give love in return.
But its for only a short time.
From them we hopefully learn
Loyalty and patience
and love without end.
Then sadly they leave us
With a heart we can't mend.
