Our Friendship

Everytime I think of our friendship,
It seems like it's slipping away.
She says she'll always be there.
But doesn't being there
Include showing that you care?
Her friends tell her to do things.
She doesn't even think
Of how I may feel.
If this is her idea of friendship,
Then ours never existed.

She tells me she's sorry,
Her friends told her to.
Well I'm sorry,
That I must say adieu.
If this is the way it works,
Then I'm already gone.

------------------------------

I try so hard just to hold on,
But it's hard when it feels like
You're already gone.
How can you say that you care,
When you're being so mean?
You say your boyfriend made you.

Well,
Boyfriends come and go,
Friends last forever.
I know I was yours once,
Now our friendship rules.

Are you still my friend?
Or do those other people
Rule your mind -
As well as your heart?
