Our Friendship

The memories of you will forever linger,
 in  very special place.
The many times you brought
 a smile to my face.
Over the years, you ,
always took the time
Never to preoccupied
 to listen to me
We shared a special bond
 throughout the years
Things we said, things we didn't say
Things we did, things we didn't do
But within our hearts, friends from the start
One part you, one part me
That is what friends were meant to be
Walking by my side each step along the way
Never far, forever near
Your friendship, freely given
Remains forever, in my heart.
