Our Family's New Year's Eve Tradition

Our pot luck dinner starts with New Year’s Eve soup, made of glass noodles, vegetables, shredded chicken for long life. Five minutes before midnight, we pour champagne for the adults and apple cider for the children in glasses, wait for the midnight hour. We count down, scream Happy New Year, raise our glasses and drink and each of us go around kissing everybody. Followed by our New Year’s dessert, made of rice cake, coconut and brown sugar on top for good luck. Have a Prosperous New Year everybody!
