Our Fabric
Our lives are woven into
the fabric of time,
our past is separated
from our future by
a thin thread called...
the present;
the moments of our lives
are mixed with the fabric
of all others who have lived,
are living, and will live
on this Earth;
almost always unknown to us,
the many people who
have touched our lives.
How many lives will we touch...
unknown to us?
How many generations will be affected
by each one of us?
Every breath we take
has the molecules of past generations
circulating within it;
our breath will be mixed
with the breath of future generations.
Our lives are forever intertwined
with the fabric of time;
we can make that fabric brilliant,
or we can make that fabric...
fade into oblivion.
