Barred and chained human cargo
Cheap labor and debt of the motherland
Rotting flesh and thought
Silenced and defeated spirit

Feces, vomit, disease-bathed

 Freedom and dignity --- denied
 Auctioned, lashed, lynched, and drowned
Feces vomit, disease-bathed
Song lost in the midst
