Our crown

Our skin shines like gold
A story waiting to be told
Our eyes like chocolate
And nothing can top that
Our hair the halo we wear
Whilst they stop and stare
Totally unaware
Of the black power we share
Our skin loved by the sun
Our beauty a vision
We are golden
Something that can't be stolen
Our unity our treasure
It fuels their displeasure
Something that can't be taken
Their egos mistaken
Jealousy within their hearts
As they witness our smarts
They tried to break us down
Please if history tought us anything
They'd know we'd stand our ground
It's why we wear our crowns
It's why we smile while they frown
