Our Children

Our Children What is going on, on this decade today? It seems that our children are being abused and murdered more and more each day. Our children that we are suppose to love, protect and care for are not. What causes a parent, or an adult person to abuse and than murder a child? Are we turning into monsters? A child has no defense against a a grownup, especially if the child is disabled. Everyday we see on the news how a child was raped, tortured and killed. Spain did away with did away with their methods of torture. The Aztecs did away with their methods of human sacrifice. Well it seems like it is coming back, only this time - they are torturing, brutalizing and sacrificing children. I could just see the fear in their eyes, as their torturer was coming towards them and they wandered - why has God forsaken me? What are we going to do? We just can't sit and watch, what our children are going through. When will it end? We are losing too many children to depraved men and irresponsible women. May God guide us and show us the way, so we can help our children today. If we can't love a child, than we should not give birth to one... 07/04/2014 By Lucilla M. Carrillo. All the criminals of such nature love their own children only but they don't have the moral sense of humanity for lack of proper education of social ethics. Their heart's loving function is encompassed with less true feelings for others. If all the children are thought to be alike the children of own families, certainly this type of crimes will automatically be minimized in the societies. I respect you for your passionate heart. I think it makes some people feel powerful when they prey on the weak. It is a shame that children are often the targets. No innocent child should have to grow up and suffer abuse of any kind.... This must have been a difficult subject to write about and I admire you for doing so. Just getting this positive message out could help to save a child. Really great work, Lucilla! Very well expressed!

Thank you Kelly; This happens all the time. Just the other day a two year old girl died from burns to her body, with hot water. It s always something different.

- A terrible sad world to grow up with - war, hatred, violence, and without a mother and father - Adult humans make the world "crazy" and it's always the children who suffer - I will not close my eyes to reality ..... but it is terrible to see all the pictures on the news on TV at this time - A very good write, dear friend Lucilla - Bless you! - oxox // Anne-Lise :)

This is a heart-stirring write. God has not forsaken the parents or the children. It is simply that the enemy is running around this planet unchecked by the Christians who were given all authority to keep him at bay. We must stand out ground and use our whole armor of Christ to trample the serpent beneath our feet! Nice to read your work here. You gave the audience something to think about.

Absolutely Lucille, actually I am in the middle of watching a TV series called "The Killing" where young street kids are being tortured and killed especially young girls who are on the streets, how can anyone do such a thing, these people are monsters, yes what is the world coming to.Take care my dear friend...........Vera...........

It is so difficult to prevent the abuses and abominations you address when these very assaults are incomprehensible to good natured people in the first place Lucilla. no offence, Lucilla, you so right it is a major problem,,,,i wonder if some of this generation of mothers and fathers, find it difficult to manage, these days,, pressure start now even before pre school, that and then parenthood, could be a problem for some.. good poem, needs to be aired

Amen, Lucilla.. Hubby and I were just discussing this a couple of days ago upon seeing yet another baby dead at the hands of her parent.. I look in the yes of my grandchildren and I can not wrap my head around it.. Just can't.. Thank you for sharing this very important write.. They should lock the abusers away for life - no parole nothing - it is a sad sick world we live in Lucilla. Many years ago I worked with children who have been abused - they were under 5 years old it was truly truly heartbreaking. Hugs Jan xxx

Hi Jan; Thanks for reading this poem. I made a couple of mistakes, but I fixed them already. As you see my vision is bad and I have problems writing and reading. My niece also worked with abused Children. She said it was really bad. Now she has a different job.
