Our Bond

Our bond
    is more than
    a relationship
because
    it binds us
    like glue,
we're in this life
    together now
    joined at
the head, heart and hip.

Our bond
    started long ago,
    a friendship it was,
now linked we are
    as we get along
    and no longer clash,
we want this connection
    we have
    to one day be
a union under God.

Our bond
    was formed
    before we even knew
what love can do,
    how souls can bind,
    how it can make us blind,
but we see so clearly now
    and only want
    to live as one
forever and always.
