our bodies

Our bodies are a temple
we should treat them as they are,
we hurt them and beat them down,
we neglect them,
we abuse them,
yet they do so much for us

we cut them up and they heal,
we starve them and they try to keep us alive,
we don't water them enough and they give us warnings instead of just shutting down right away on us

if you give, it'll give back
if you take, it will let you take the time you need to give it back
our bodies are for us, they are patient and try their best to give our spirit and soul a nice warm place to stay
