Original Design
Your're older and your're bolder
And you want to feel so fine
With broken days behind you
As you plod on down the line.
Too late for speculation
On the madness of the past.
You know the end is coming
And the end is coming fast.
So try to get a handle
On the guilt and on the shame
There is no way to change it
As it stays part of the game.
All prayers for man's perfection
As a species have no hope;
Inferior evolving
Up the evolution slope.
Man's arrogance is legend
In the annals of the earth
And every other creature
Pays the price for human birth.
There is a basic failure
In original design;
A lot of shallow people
Should take time to realign.
Mankind no longer focused
On his future needs to thrive
Yet nature fights for balance
So all creatures can survive.
When engineers build bridges
They correct mistakes they make,
But man gets no corrections
Since young Eve seduced a snake!
