Orchard Planting Time

. When in marriage, life together just begun Planned on adding to this wordly estate Planting an orchard was so much fun Foreseeing years of luscious fruit on plate But all things of this world cycle Being brought down to death and decay Very few of the trees still stand now They have gone to other uses_ maybe sleigh These temples are made of dust and minerals They will be put away in the dark earth grave But there is our soul which is immortal It will live forever and a day

smile -- so much truth amid insightfulness spoken within this Souls sweetened canvas my dear -- perfect strokes from a lovely brush through and through and, the final verse, in such a beautiful hue -- rich colours painting, your beauty, as a fave thus, framed in fave; this lovely poe and also, your precious self -- love, christopher ~

Memories of beautiful orchards and other scenes like flower gardens do linger in our minds long after the beauty has faded, Sara. This is a lovely, thought-provoking verse. In some respects, we are very much like these orchards only memories of our lives will fade, but for the few who make their mark in history. Beautiful! Love, Carolyn
