Notes About The Poem

Orca

Out of the sea, oh Majestic Prince,
In a spray of foam so green.
Into the air in freedom's dance,
A sight that must be seen.

The Orca leaps into the air
Before our eyes... amazed.
So graceful leaping t'wards the sun.
With joyful hearts, we gazed.

He skims along the ocean green
Then leaps before our view.
One of God's most majestic beasts,
He lifts our hearts anew.

Wow, I love this poem. But you probably know by now that I am partial to rhyme and animals. I would love to see more like this. Wonderful poem. It lifted my spirit this evening. Thanks.

They don't call them "killer whales" for nothing. They are among the most vicious and ruthless predators in the wild. Good poem that describes these aquatic mammals.

They appear to be as intelligent as we are. I would not trust them. They are probably coming up close because they are looking for a quick and easy meal.

Good day Francine! I looked at the photo, it seems so joyous and free...very close to shore.:) Have only seen and been splashed by them in captivity...I'm thinking you'd all been blessed!! Best wishes, Mikki
