I remember when the stars did not move, did not follow, did not gaze back with intent I remember when photos were to commemorate, not to capture, not to control, not to interrogate I remember when walls were built to keep threats out, not people in I remember when you could find lights in the sky the city could not call its own, now the hum and glow will stalk you up the coast and into the woods, the towers that we built to reach the sky have taught them this art, to hunt, to lay in wait, they should not have been made, to see so far, so much, raised up before their time, they have become gods, they must be stopped
