Orange Lantern

A night to be remembered Walking down the streets Children running around Festive smiles for everyone A woman with walking grace As gentle as nature As smooth as silks She knows how to make an entrance Oh, believe me Everyone else was put into a trance Holding on to an orange lantern The fires light up hopes And an earnest wish The lantern flies away Together with her heart Orange lanterns light up the night Fills the darkness with happiness A night that holds so much felicity Wash away the emptiness and longing Even just for a night Her heart was jubilant Fatin Zaini 5th March 2018
