Optimise our fate

The sun is setting;
Another day draws to an end;
Another present that has enriched our lives
Or regrets for moments sadly misspent.
And as the stars shine out
And greet the night sky,
We are left to wonder
The wherefores and whys.
And time waits for no one -
It marches all for one;
It does not need approval,
And it cannot be undone.
So before midnight heralds
A brand new day,
Reflect within and
Be guided anew...
For no matter our
Circumstances,
We all have a choice;
We can make the best of our days,
And optimise our fate.
