"I may or may not be opposed" Poetry Contest

Sponsor: Dilly Dally

POETRY DOESN'T ALWAYS COME TO ME TIPTOEING IN A VEIL OF IMAGINATION OR RAGING LIKE A TURBULENT STORM IT DOES EMERGE WHEN WAKING UP, I GAZE AT THE ENCHANTING VERMILLION SKY AT DAWN, MAJESTIC SUN RISING IN THE HORIZON.  IT DOES WHEN GORGEOUS SUNFLOWERS IN MY GARDEN BLOOM, FLAUNTING THEIR MESMERIZING GOLDEN PETALS! MY HEART LEAPS AND FLUTTERS LIKE A BUTTERFLY ENRAPTURED WITH COLOURS IT DOES WHEN A MURMURING RIVER CROONS A TALE OF PASSIONATE LOVE SPLASHING THE PEBBLES WITH TENDER KISSES! Poetry comes to me rushing in a chariot of imagination, not tiptoeing like a bride! Doesn't emerge, unless I gaze at vermillion sky, majestic sun setting at ocean,  It doesn't, unless glorious sunflowers bloom in my garden, petite and shy, until My heart quivers and shivers like dewdrops, in euphoria,  Poetry disappears unless I listen to a brook humming a tale of romantic love...  When the rocks are caressed by the rivulet with wild emotions!

Yes, I definitely think your poem is contest level material. I should've said so in my earlier comments. I've read some of the others and yours stands out. Best wishes with the contest and thanks for reading my poem. Have a pleasant evening, hugs Sara

lovely and masterful 'opposing' poetry. I'm in awe as I read each version with its imagery. I especially liked "my heart quivers and shivers like dewdrops, in euphoria." Just beautiful words. Thanks for sharing your creative talents...have a great evening, Sara

Hello Mala, So that is how poetry comes to you to create. As for myself, it is my ghost writer. She wakes me up to write a title , then I create a poem. Or I get ideas from things happening around me. Love & Friendship, /Darlene/

It is okay with me if you want to try to create a poem from a title. We will have a green Christmas this year. Loe & Friendship, /Darlene/

Dear Darlene, Thank you so much for the beautiful comment. You are a great poet - your ghost writer is truly talented! That's a great idea - first to write a title, and then create around it! I might borrow your idea, Darlene. I was thinking of you - we were travelling for last two weeks. Merry Christmas to you, Dearest Poet, and to your loved ones.

I believe you chose an excellent poem to oppose with your first one highlighting so well how difficult it is for you to express your poetic musings and the second a contrast of methodological thinking and behaviour in regards to your muse... I really love how you have done this one..

Thank you, Dear Poet (Poet Laureate). Your encouraging words inspire me to write - poetry used to come spontaneously when i felt emotional, now I mostly depend on the contests for unique themes. Also read brilliant poems from this site.
