Opportunity Gone

Tarry and late,
He said time was gone,
And he should be gone too,
The  opportunity is lost,
And let me try again,
And let the iron be hot again,
He waited and waited,
And waited for long,
The iron never got hot,
And he never got to try,
But he had known,
That an opportunity gone,
Is a chance gone,
And arrives back but rarely,
And it is more time he lost,
Than won
