Opossum

The Virginia Opossum has
A funny little piggy nose.

She keeps her babies in a pouch,
And climbs with her opposing toes!

Hi Frances, Great, I only know the Australian opossums, but they are really cute animals. They like apples and are not really shy. Suppose Virginia Opossums are similar. Nice words! Cheers, Gert And thanks for your comment!

Frances, Florida Opossum will gnaw a hole up through the floor and help herself to the pantry. Baring teeth to those she meets who do not her actions fancy. True story! I think I feel a poem comming on... I enjoyed reading about the positive side of those cute critters that are supposed to play dead when they are scared... They sometimes do NOT! Smiling... Have a poetic day! Lovingly, Dane
